Remarks:
The sculpture was commissioned in 1971 by Max Karl, president of MGIC Investment Corporation. The artist was commissioned at the suggestion of interior architect Warren Planter, who redesigned the plaza to accommodate the sculpture. IAS files contain articles from the Milwaukee Sentinel and the Milwaukee Journal, including Milwaukee Journal article dated April 2, 1976. A device for chasing birds away has been placed atop the sculpture.
